Episode 27:
Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2
If Disney gets to premiere a new Star Wars movie, then gosh darn it, we’re doing it too! This month’s throwback is the classic Star Wars sequel: Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2. (Note: Please stick around for the moment we realize how wrong we were about a rather large plot point…go us!)
After some intros, we get into the history of the game and surrounding lore around the 2:30 mark, then we hit the gameplay at 22:30 and get deep into all 21 levels (most of them at least). Honestly, we end up diving deep into some Wookieepedia on Rahn and Kyle, and the whole Dark Forces gang…but I think it’s more of a sign of how confusing the plot of this game was, rather than how oblivious we are…or could easily be both.
ANYWAY, no episode would be complete without an insightful round of “What’s The Beer? What’s The Song?” at the 53:30 mark, and then we chat about what other games have been taking up our free time (in between MOLMF games of course) around 60:00, and end things talking about next month’s game at 66:00.

- That book we keep mentioning is Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts by Rob Smith, and it’s a fantastic overview of the history of LucasArts with thousands of stories and illustrations. I always learn something new every time I open it up.
